‘It’s a very difficult decision’ for Kameli to leave her family home in Calgary
Kamelia, who is a student at the University of Alberta, said she doesn’t want to leave Alberta because she is a mother of two and wants to help her family.
“I want to help the kids and my husband as much as I can,” she said.
“It’s really difficult to go out to work.
I’m not really allowed to leave, but I can’t stay in my house.”
The couple says they’re trying to find a new place to live in Calgary.
“We just want to find somewhere that we’re happy, that we have the stability, that I can stay here,” Kamelisaid.
“I want my kids to go to school.”
The family moved to Calgary in 2013 after moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where Kamelias daughter, Jasmine, was born.
Kamelises daughter has also been diagnosed with a form of autism.
“Her first year, she was very difficult.
She had a lot of trouble walking,” Karelisaid of Jasmine.
“But when I was there with her, I was able to give her a lot more help.”
When I was in Winnipeg, I had to give up a lot to go with her.
I had a very hard time with her.
“Kamelis said Jasmine has been at home all of her life.”
She’s really just the person that I love the most and that’s why I’m here.
I love her and she loves me.
We’ve had some difficult moments, but we’ve come together.
It’s a great community, a great family and we’re going to support each other.
