LaBounty’s new book is out! The ‘Best of the Best’ series
It’s hard to imagine a better title for LaBounts new book, “The Best of the All-Time: The Best of All-time NFL” than “The best of all-time.”
But as we learned in our first look at the book, the book’s title isn’t necessarily a hyperbole.
The book is a collection of the best moments from the past 40 years of NFL history.
It’s like the book of football history, with the players, coaches, executives and personalities that made the game what it is today.
The book is filled with great moments from past decades, like the famous “Bountygate” in 1970, which was when the league decided to pay bounties on players caught using banned substances.
There’s also a scene from the 1985 playoffs in which a referee was punched in the face, leaving him blind.
It wasn’t long after that game that the league’s “dramatic changes” to the league rulebook and its punishment for illegal acts led to the first-ever suspension of an NFL player for a hit to the head.
It also happened during the 1995 season, when a player and an assistant coach were arrested for assaulting a female referee in the same week the league announced its new rules regarding head trauma.
And then there’s the infamous bountygate scandal, in which the NFL announced a new bounty system that would allow players to be paid for any hit to a referee, even if they didn’t hit him.
And even though that bounty was paid, there were still players and coaches who didn’t get paid.
And then there was the infamous 1996 season, which saw players and teams that hadn’t been paid by the league receive a $100,000 bonus for every touchdown they scored.
“The bounty scandal was a huge blow to the credibility of the league and the players,” LaBoun said in an interview with The Associated Press.
“We wanted to do something about that.
So we decided to write about it and what we learned from that.”
In the book that’s been released, LaBouys team of sports journalists has spent more than a decade digging through the history of the NFL, looking for the best stories, moments and storylines from the games that made up the past decades.
The team of reporters, editors and historians includes ESPN’s Brian McCarthy, who won the Pulitzer Prize for his book “Bengals,” as well as the book “A Brief History of the American Sports Leagues.”
The book also features contributions from the following people, each of whom has made a difference in the game of football: Bill Walsh, Jerry Jones, Cris Carter, Joe Montana, Bill Belichick, Jim Kelly, Troy Aikman, Brett Favre, John Elway, Brett Kavanaugh, Joe Biden, Joe Torre, David Carr, Joe Namath, Joe Gibbs, Greg Jennings, Vinny Testaverde, Bill Parcells, Troy Polamalu, Roger Staubach, Dan Marino, Dan Reeves, Joe Theismann, Brett Kappel, John Madden, Mark Brunell, Brian Urlacher, Brett Goode, Tom Brady, Michael Vick, Drew Brees, Michael Irvin, Peyton Manning, Brett Pelham, Drew Bledsoe, Brett Smith, Joe Vitt, Joe McKnight, Roger Culver, Joe Tannenbaum, Steve Young, Brett Jones, Mike Ditka, Jerry Rice, Joe Parcells and Tom Flores.
