President Donald Trump is hosting his annual Thanksgiving dinner at Mar-a-Lago, where he has often been criticized for his tendency to go off script and his lack of decorum.
But the White House press corps has never been more accustomed to watching the president, whose first Thanksgiving has been overshadowed by the Russia investigation.
Here are some things to know about the holiday: The First Thanksgiving at Mara-Lagos is being hosted by President Donald J. Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, First Lady Melania Trump, First Daughter Ivanka Trump, and members of his extended family.
A special Thanksgiving dinner will be held on Nov. 24.
The White House is hosting a special Thanksgiving Dinner for the President, Vice-President, First Ladies, Members of His Family, Members and Advisors.
Guests will enjoy turkey, mashed potatoes, mashed potato soup, cranberry sauce, cranberries and cranberries with cranberry gravy, and turkey and cranberry pie.
The Thanksgiving dinner is being held at Mar‑a-lagos.
It is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. with a special guest presentation from Trump.
The President will have an hour-long dinner.
There will be dessert and a dessert reception.
The president will also have an opportunity to address the nation from the Oval Office.
A press pool will also be allowed into the White Houses dining room.
The dinner will include traditional Thanksgiving dinner fare including cranberry cake, cranapple soup, stuffing and a pumpkin pie.
Special guest guests will also receive a free dessert.
In addition, guests will be able to sit in the White Family Room to watch the president.
There is a special section in the dining room reserved for special guests and VIPs.
Guests with tickets will have priority access to the event.
The first-ever White House Thanksgiving dinner with President Donald R. Trump and First Lady Karen Pence will be hosted at Mar–a-la-Lago on Thanksgiving Eve, Nov. 26, 2018.
The Vice President, First Women, members of the President’s extended family, members and advisors, and the Press Corps will be present at the dinner.
It will be the first Thanksgiving dinner for the White house since it was hosted by then-President Bill Clinton in the first year of his presidency in 1998.
Mar-A-Lago is located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The First Family is comprised of the First Lady, the President and Vice President and other senior officials of the administration.
